Abstract

The early missionaries of the renewed Brüder Unität (Moravian Church) came to Greenland in 1733 and founded their first settlement in New Herrnhut, in the place of the present-day capital Nuuk. In the study are presented their experiences and problems by operating among Inuits and overcoming the barriers between different cultures anf life styles.
