Bratislava, southern imports and written sources. What can they tell us and what we would like them to tell?

Abstrakt
the recent La Tène period discoveries in the Bratislava castle hill gave rise to numerous historical interpretations, often trying to set Bratislava in one way or another into the context of Roman-Celtic-Germanic relations in the second half of the 1st c. BC and the first decades of the new era. in the paper we tried to go back to the actual sources and ask which of the interpetations are actually based on facts and which on fantasies.
