The Reliquary Panel in the Monastery of St. Martin in Trier and Its Role in the Reconstruction of St. Vitus'Cathedral in Prague

Abstract

The paper is devoted to an artefact produced by goldsmiths from the Rhineland, which, found its way to the Czech lands and to Prague. At the request of V.

M. Pešina of Čechorod, a canon of the Metropolitan Chapter at St.

Vitus' Cathedral in Prague, the panel was do-nated to the cathedral in Prague, where it was situated so as to decorate the altar in the Chapel of St. Anne.
