Acquired hemophilia A is a rare hematologic illness. The cause of this illness is autoantibodies against factor VIII, which play an important role in coagulation.
Patients are endangered of extensive bleeding mainly subcutaneous and bleeding into the muscles. Contrary to congenital hemophilia this illnes isn't bound on male gender.
The bleeding into the joins is rare. The severity of bleeding doesn't depend on the level of factor VIII and on the level of inhibitors.
