Operation Tiger's Eye: DNA testing of traditional Chinese medicine artifacts in the Czech Republic

Abstrakt

The aim of this work is to present the DNA-based species identification results obtained from various materials that were seized during the Tiger's Eye operation run by Czech law enforcement agencies. Some of the artifacts submitted for DNA analysis did not yield any animal DNA or yielded no amplifiable DNA.

The methods employed for the analyses included sequencing of the animal mtDNA genes coi and cytb.
