Abstract
The publication presents a very comprehensive and updated text covering most of the aspects related to arterial, venous and lymphatic circulation in extremities. The publication is introduced by a brief historical description of research in the field of vascular diseases.
Next chapter is dedicated rather broadly to anatomy of arterial, venous and lymphatic vessels of extremities. Theoretical chapters are continuing with pathophysiology of peripheral circulation, pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and the overview of arterial and venous thrombogenesis.
The main deal of this book is focused on clinical issues, starting with the most useful investigation methods and reviewing etiopathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and profylaxis of main acute and chronic clinical conditions regarding arterial, venous and lymphatic circulation of lower and upper limbs.
