Abstract
On April 24, 2017, a workshop titled "Selected Natural Science Branches at the German University of Prague in the Interwar Period" was held at the seminar room of the Department of Philosophy and History of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Viničná 7. Programme 10: 00-10: 15 Opening / Tomas Hermann 10: 15-10: 45 Physics / Milan Pšenička 10: 45-11: 15 Astronomy and cosmic physics / Petra Hyklová 11: 15-11: 45 Pharmacy / Tomas Arndt 11: 45-12: 15 Natural Philosophy / Tomáš Hermann, Lenka Ovčáčková 12: 15-13: 00 lunch 13: 00-13: 30 Zoology / Petr Hampl 13: 30-14: 00 Botany / Lucie Čermáková, Jiří Neústupa 14: 00-14: 30 Mineralogy and geology / Jaroslav Marek 14: 30-15: 30 General discussion Each contribution was divided into a presentation (about 15 minutes) and a joint discussion.
The main goal was the debate on the conceptualization of the chapters of the monograph under preparation. To other subjects (mathematics, geography, chemistry) was devoted proper space in the frame of the discussion.
