Performance Characteristics of a Multigene Urine Biomarker Test for Monitoring for Recurrent Urothelial Carcinoma in a Multicenter Study (Editorial Comment)

Abstrakt

The authors present an interesting analysis of a noninvasive urine test for monitoring patients with bladder cancer after transurethral resection of the bladder. The goal is to rule out recurrences and potentially reduce the number of cystoscopies.

The results seem to be promising, particularly because of high sensitivity for detecting high grade recurrences.
