Abstract
A characteristic feature of modern obstetrics is active and individual approach to the management of labor pain. This research work is focusing on the awareness of pregnant women with epidural analgesia as an effective method of treatment of labor pain.
It assesses the impact of acquired information on women's awareness about this issue. Quantitative research was carried out through a questionnaire survey among pregnant women in gynaecologists in Jihlava.
Based on the data can be said that although women posses enough information, they remain interested in gaining more information about epidural analgesia, which could be satisfied by a higher level of education of health professionals.
