Abstract
Laboratory urine testing is the basis of urinary tract infection diagnosis (IMC) and is available in basic form at all levels of health care. The following text summarizes current requirements for investigative procedures and interpretation of results.
It also points to newer automated methods and the need to communicate with laboratory staff.
