Treatment-resistant depression I: epidemiology, classification, risk factors and pseudoresistance

Abstract

Resistant depression is a complex clinical problem and a significant source of increased morbidity and mortality. This article aims to recap the main characteristics of resistant depression, its classification, the available data on its risk factors and to comment pseudoresistance to treatment.
