Abstract
Workshop on forest reclamations and ecosystem services was held on October 30, 2017 with the participation of team members and experts dealing with dump geology and forest reclamations on anthropogenic substrates. During the workshop, the current state of forest reclamation in the Sokolov area, planting of trees realized in the past, dynamics of individual habitats and possibilities of further silvicultural treatment and future forest management practices at these stands were discussed.
In the morning, results of soil surveys carried out in the past in this area and what it implies for the forest reclamation practices on anthropogenic substrates, and results from sociological surveys on environmental preferences and recreational value of reclaimed territory were presented and discussed. In the afternoon part, two field trips took place on forest reclamation in the area of arboretum Antonín and Podkrušnohorská dump.
