Abstract

Secretory carcinoma of salivary glands (mammary analogue of secretory carcinoma of salivary glands) is a relatively recently defined nosological unit in pathology of salivary glands. It was described for the first time in 2010 by A.

Skálová et al. in American Journal of Surgical Pathology. It is a type of salivary gland carcinoma or a less specified or cribriform low grade cystadenocarcinoma (12).

The immunohistochemical and morphological properties of secretory carcinoma of salivary glands resemble secretory carcinoma of mammary gland (12). In the case report we present a patient with histologically demonstrated secretory carcinoma in a parotid gland.
