Financial Support of the Mission Work of the Apostle Paul: The Gospel for Free?

Abstract

This paper presents the New Testament contribution to the debate on the financial independence of the Czech churches and their operation without state support. We focus on financial support of the work of the apostle Paul according to the New Testament texts.

We respond to the question if, and in what sense, was his gospel available for free.
