THE PRINCIPLES OF THE LIBERAL ORDER OF FRIEDRICH A. VON HAYEK AND THEIR ANALOGY WITH THE BIBLE

Publication at Hussite Theological Faculty |
2017

Abstract

There are two possible ways in which the matters of liberty, law and justice can be approached. We form them either for a small non-anonymous community (family, tribe) or for an open, globally-connected society where people interact with each other anonymously.

The space for the interactions of the second type is the market and the means of communication is money. F.

A. Hayek introduces the principles of a liberal social order right for this type of the society.

The author of this article demonstrates the presence of the principles in the bible. The author considers the current social teachings of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church insufficient and points to the necessity of their elaboration with regard to the principles of open society.
