Spiritual activism as tool for social change in context of Spiritually senzitivte Social Work

Publication |

Abstract

In the text we define spiritual activism as a specific instrument of interventions (or framework of interventions) in the context of spiritually oriented and spiritually sensitive social work. We present its philosophical starting points as well as recommendations for practical applications and we assess whether it is compatible with the theoretical concept of person-in-envrionment, which is based on the definition of the field specificity of social work.

From the point of view of accepting the classical concept of the professional discourse of social work (that is, within the spiritually sensitive social work), spiritual activism does not appear to be fully applicable to the practice of social work.
