Cytoreduction surgery and hyperthermal intraperitoneal chemotherapy is a method that removes all visible tumors in the affected organs and peritoneum. Thereafter, the lavage solution of the chemotherapeutic agent is maintained at 42 ° C for 90 minutes.
This heated solution is heated has a greater effect and increases penetration into tumor cells. The aim of the diploma thesis is to compare the protection of personnel in these operations in the Czech Republic with foreign recommendations and comparison of security protocols from the Washington Hospital Center and the Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf.
Methodology - a method of quantitative investigation was chosen for the survey as a questionnaire of its own design. Anonymity of respondents was secured by secure boxes.
The research sample consisted of anesthetist nurses from three specialized centers in the Czech Republic dealing with this method. The outcomes of this work should serve to create a single security protocol for anesthesiology workplace including personnel safety and protection, personal protective equipment and thus reduction of occupational risks.
