Abstract

The paper deals with the use of stories in the health care of pre-school children. There is a list of appropriate books focusing about childhood illnesses, doctor visits, hospitalization, and vaccinations.

Follow-up support activities are useful to promote understanding of the origin and process of child illness, the need of treatment, disease prevention, and the development of safer and healthier behaviors.
