This text deals with a comparison of Czech, Slovak, and Slovenian hardcore-punk scenes from 1980thies up to the present. Especially their relations to the various anti-authoritarian movements, with whom they shared the common idea DIY (do it yourself), are emphasized.
Fanzines are the author's main sources mainly because the cultural and political activities were connected on their pages. While Czech and Slovak hardcore-punk fanzine culture have persisted until today, Slovenian fanzines in fact disappeared hand in hand with advancing gentrification, despite the punk scenes were remarkably strong there during the socialism period.
