There is a serious problem in Czech society to approach narrators from military circles (working for any armed forces in general), especially in the case of the researcher not belonging to the same or similar institution. Narrators often de facto reject the concept of "shared authority" and lay strong emphasis at authorization of the interviews, which are very difficult to conduct.
Author employs theory of "battlefield revelation" by Yuval Noah Harari, belonging to the paradigmatic field of cultural military history, to explain, that this unwillingness has been often influenced by a problematic state of present war cultures regarding to expressing and sharing a military experience. The cultural concepts have been contradictory for long time and Harari moreover suggests that we are coming close to another "epistemological rupture" in this field.
Author then proposes an alternative strategy to obtain authorization by narrators in terms of displaying competence in discovering and analyzing their own situation.
