Decompressive craniectomy for refractory intracranial hypertension

Abstrakt

In this chapter we describe all possible indications for decompressive craniectomy in cerebral ischaemia, cerebellar space ocupying lesions, trauma and intracerebral haematomas. We bring survey of literature, expert opinions and conclude our recommendations for this life saving emergency procedure.
