THE EXPERIENCE OF EXILE. THE DESTINIES OF EXILE FROM THE TERRITORY OF THE FORMER RUSSIAN EMPIRE IN INTERWAR CZECHOSLOVAKIA
Abstract
In addition to famous personalities such as the poet Marina Tsvetaeva and the painter Grigoryi Musatov, the exhibition commemorates the fate and works of lesser known but very interesting emigration figures, such as the original painter Ivan Kulec, the artist Sergey Mako, with the life stories of technicians and natural scientists who left a significant trace in the development of the Czechoslovak arms industry, construction, chemical industry and many other technical and scientific disciplines. Representatives of the social sciences and, last but not least, theater and film artists are also present.
In addition to exhibits from the Museum of Czech literature collections, which include the largest collection of personal emigrant funds in the Czech Republic, the project brings a large amount of documentary material from archives, museums and galleries, as well as from private collections. Works of art, photographs, objects of everyday life, original manuscripts and correspondence, examples of period books, magazines and film productions will be presented in the six thematic areas of the exhibition: I.
