Use of lasers in ophthalmology

Abstract

The author deals with the theoretical background of ocular laser therapy and the current role of lasers in modern ophthalmology. Laser therapy is used for issues with the retina, the vitreous body, the lens, the ciliary body, the iris, the iridocorneal angle, the cornea, the sclera, the eye lids and their surroundings.

Laser surgery of refractory disorders and presbyopia is discussed as well.
