Abstract

Benign and malign non-inflammatory conditions presenting as intraocular inflammation are called masquerading syndromes, Masquerading syndromes play an important role in differential diagnosis of uveitis. Special diagnostic methods including intraocular liquid analysis are used in differential diagnosis of uveitis.

Early diagnosis and target treatment of masquerading syndromes are necessary for preservation of visual functions and especially in malign masquerading syndromes can significantly improve the prognosis of patients thanks to the interdisciplinary cooperation.
