Abstract
Based on long term data, ASTRO issued new, updated recommendations for radiotherapy of the breasts in 2017. These recommendations are characterised by simplicity, directness and clarity - the authors are commenting on the in this review article.
In practice they should lead to simplified treatment and its increased availability while maintaining high efficacy and low toxicity.
