Political Participation and Legitimization of Power. The State and the Family: A Romani Case

Publication at Faculty of Social Sciences |
2018

Abstract

The article deals with the theme of interconnectivity of family and political structures. The text argues that the specific views of political actors on the importance and role of family life influence the dynamics of their behaviour in the world of politics.

The text focuses on Roma, where family ties are usually strong, and experience with secondary institutions is small. The aim of the text, however, is to highlight the topic and its presence in anthropological production.
