Nuclear medicine in functional dyspepsia assessment

Publication |
2018

Abstract

Our case reports describe usefulness of radionuclide methods in gastrointestinal tract motility disorders. Scintigraphic methods are noninvasive and provide functional information complementary to anatomical imaging studies.

Nuclear medicine imaging data are quantitative, therefore allow clinicians to evaluate therapeutic effect easily. Esofageal motility and gastric emptying imaging are discussed as well as cholescintigraphy.
