Abstract
The contribution focuses on leisure time and leisure activities of seniors in the context of lifelong learning. The first chapter outlines the theoretical background of free time, leisure activities and institutional provision of leisure and educational activities for the elderly and the second chapter explains the notion of lifelong learning and education that we present as a conceptual change in education responding to demographic development not only in the Czech Republic but also worldwide.
The conclusion of the paper briefly characterizes the basic thesis of the research project of the Student grant competition FP TUL, which will be realized during the year 2017.
