Abstract

Currently it is known, that changes in compostion of gut microbiome lead to certain changes in behavior of laboratory animals. Subject of investigation in behavior changes are depressive and anxiety-like behavior.

Possibility of using knowledge about changes in compostion of gut microbiome and origin of some disease is currently theoretical, because there is not enough scientific data, abut some diseases like depressive and anxiety disorders and autism are however considered in the psychiatry. It is yet unclear if changes in composition of gut microbiome is a causative factor or a consequence of these diseases.
