Abstract

Text analyses the role of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection in transfer of repatriates and re-emigrants into Czechoslovakia after the Second World War (especially from 1945 to 1947). It also compares the role of other state institutions (Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in after-war migration into Czechoslovakia.

Analysis focuses on rail and road transport of repatriates and their goods organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. It compares the pros and cons of modes of transport (for example time, financial expenses, staffing, technical equipment) and it also describes the main transit routes.
