Abstrakt
This article summarises information about most important nationwide competitions in physics in the Czech Republic. On the one hand we have worldwide known competitions like Physics Olympiad, on the other hand, we have some which are probably typical only for central Europe - team competitions of "Náboj" type and "correspondence seminars".
Some competitions are directly supported by "Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports", which also a motivational system for teachers. One of the main organisers of contests in the field of physics is Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University.
