This chapter points to the phenomenon of contemporary students'migration, allowing them to experience crossing various frontiers, and having their cultural identity challenged and strengthened. Many TEMA students came to study in our program with completely different ideas about scholarly research, not to mention urban studies.

Physical migration is obviously also accompanied by the migration of ideas and cultural values in both directions, and influences one's sensitivity to important issues related to urban studies. The tematic analysis of the research interests of TEMA students demonstrated in an attached list shows the variety of topics and their correlation with mainstream urban history research,
