A public lecture held within the framework of the lecture cycle of the Romani utopia associated with the discussion. The aim was to acquaint the listeners (mostly from the academic community) with found archival materials, which deal with the efforts of a particular Roma family to obtain a document about home citizenship, at the birthplace of the father of the family (in Svitávka).
Their efforts to legalize their stay in the village lasted for 14 years, when the municipality refused to recognize this family for its members. An analysis of the archival records showed that 10 actors were involved in the process, the two most active (the district political administration in Boskovice and the municipal office in Svitavka) were passing over for 14 years.
Their strategic steps and arguments were the subject of the presented analysis.
