Local Impact Assessment of Renewable Energy Sources using RegioIAF

Publication at Faculty of Humanities |
2018

Abstract

Using of RES is linked with a numerous financial and non-financial impacts (e.g. environmental). Currently there are several methods used in CZ to assess the impacts.

Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) focuses on social and economic impact analysis before law comes into force. The assessment is based on macroeconomic level.

Although it is a complex evaluation, it is done on national level and it is not focused on specific renewable energy source. Environmental impact assessment is also used very often, it analyses and compares positive and negative impacts connected to RES building.

It focuses on the environment, other impacts are not particularly evaluated. Local impact assessment is the closest way of renewable energy sources evaluation, but it is not used very often in CZ at the moment.
