This paper deals with health risks of water skiing from both theoretical and practical point of view, assessing the risk on one site equipped with cable ski. Relating health problems may attack gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, skin, eyes, ears, or cause fever, either through infection (viruses, bacteria, protozoa), allergenic reaction or toxic reaction of cyanotoxins and bacterial endotoxins.
It seems that water exposure in water skiing is of the same or even higher intensity comparing with bathing or swimming, however, Czech legislation does not include this activity under public health protection, even if it is operated on commercial basis
