Abstract

The study interprets the development of Czechoslovak (Czech) radio broadcasting, from a historical and anthropological point of view. The paper deals with the history of radio broadcasting in the late 1960s till the mid-1970s with a focus on Czechoslovak Radio under the supervision of KSČ.

The text follows the question of the impact of communist policy on the broadcasting. The subchapters deal with the functions and functionning of the radio in the late 1960s till the mid-1970s and with the program composition and content of radio programs after the August occupation in 1968.

The paper mentions the resolutions to Czechoslovak Radio in the documents of the Congresses of KSČ.
