A new regulation on indirect pedagogical activity in the work of assistants: a denial of the interests of the child, teacher and school

Abstract

The aricle builds on a research study describing the inadequate definition of indirect pedagogical activity in the content of the work of teachers' assistants, and reacts to recent legislative changes in this area. The author looks in detail at the amendment to the directive according to which indirect educational activity will now be set at a fixed ten percent of the work commitment of an assitant, and indicates the reason why this low time allocation to indirect educational activity will be entirely insufficient for many assistants (and their teachers and pupils).
