Labeling in dictionaries from the non-professional perspective

Abstrakt

The paper deals with the markedness from the non-professional perspective. The material from Language Consulting Center shows, that the professional and non-professional understanding in respect to markedness is different.

The inquirers consider just with few traditional labels. Their approach is evaluative, i. e. prescriptive.

Nevertheless the importance of context is interesting.
