Abstract
he chapter deals with the current, author's jewelery in Czechoslovakia in the 60s and 70s of the 20th century. The basic line of the text is a description of the activities of Věra Vokáčová, curator of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague in 1959-1992, one of the main organizers of the events accompanying the essential advent of artistic jewelery in the given period.
Only on the background of this axis, requested by the publisher, it was possible to discuss the terminology of the then emerging field of creation, the position of the jewelery in art criticism and theory. The central theme of the entire publication was the role of the Silver Jewelery Symposium, held in Jablonec nad Nisou in 1968, in the interplay of the art scene of the "West" and "The East".
