Abstract
Hepatology 2018 is the third edition of the same title, which was first published in 2010 and has since been updated every four years. As in previous editions, it provides the reader with the most recent information on the attractive field that hepatology undoubtedly is.
In recent years, hepatology has undergone great development and in the context of the progress of many other medical disciplines; it has gradually become part of evidence-based medicine. The text includes information that is often part of the guidelines that are accepted in most countries based on "Western" medicine.
