Publication at Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen |
2018

Abstract

Engraftment syndrome is a non-infectious complication occurring after allogeneic bone marrow/stem cell transplantation rarity. Etiology and pathophysiology are not sufficiently elucidated.

The predictive mechanism is an advert cytokine interaction leading to endothelial dysfunction with a significant increase in capillary permeability and sequestration of neutrophils within the lung circulation. The presentation describes a case report.
