Occurence of infective endocarditis and some problems of its diagnostics

Abstract

The work deals with occurence of infective endocarditis in Czech Republic and with problems of its diagnostics. High prevalency of negative blood cultures represents a significant problem of diagnostics of infective endocarditis.

Own results with long-term folow-up of 37 patients with infective endocarditis are discused in details.
