The empirical study deals with the attitudes of selected groups of teenagers to education. The research is focused on respondents from institutional or protective education and on juveniles attending the educational care center.

As a control group, high school students were selected for whom social application is required. For statistical testing, zero hypotheses (H0) were established.

The statistical method of multiple comparison was used to analyse the data, specifically Fisher's LSD test (Least Significant Difference), which is aimed at comparing three or more independent selections. The results of the survey present differences in attitudes towards education and subsequent social application among respondents aged fifteen to eighteen.

Of the socially disadvantaged group of juveniles, respondents from the children's home came closer to the results of the respondents from the control group. In conclusion, based on the survey, recommendations are provided for the practice of educators and educators working with young people.
