Abstract
The contribution deals with the legislature on the position of the courts of the highest level of general judiciary i selected countries of the European Union - Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Bulgaria. It concludes, that the basic legislature on the supreme judiciary in this countries is, in essence, very similar to the Czech legislature.
The differences are listed within the description of the individual courts.
