Abstrakt
The article focuses on the concept of rituals in contemporary Catholic and Protestant liturgical studies. It is written as a discussion between Protestant practical theologian Tabita Landova and Catholic liturgical theologian Michaela Vlckova.
The authors bring to the debate two liturgical traditions in which the issue of ritual has been evaluated in very different ways. However, in recent years it has been possible to perceive significant rethinking of the concept of rituals on both sides and an increasing respect for the diverse role of rituals and ritual imagination in the life of churches.
