Abstract
The publication is an extensive critical revision of the translation of the Old Testament Book of the prophet Isaiah edited by a notable Catholic hebraist Vaclav Bogner in 80s of the 20th century. The revision represents a quite autonomous work which includes discoveries at the Dead Sea, contemporary tendency to cosider the ancient Greek version Septuagint, and some new interpretative solutions of the difficult passages of the Hebrew Bible.
The biblical text is commented by original detailed textological, literary, historical, theological, and spiritual notes, created by both editors.
