Abstract

In the history of the Czech Republic, respectively, former Czechoslovakia the period of 1945-1946 belongs to the most controversial. The displacement of the majority of the German population from border areas of the republic was realized in those years.

Expulsion was accompanied by confiscation of German properly, but also unacceptabel excesses (so called "Wild expulsions"), in which Germans were exterminated by the local population in certain locations.
