When Confusion Makes Sense: Micro-politics of Categories and Cultural Intimacy in the Albanian-Greek Borderlands

Abstract

In my paper I will show how aspects of people's lives, beliefs, and practices that come into conflict with what is believed to be "normal", "good" or "patriotic" in the context of a place or a community, may sometimes inspire the sense of collectivity that plays a crucial role in the process of symbolical construction of those communities and places.
