A Nature Conservation Anniversary: on Prohibition of Hunting of Birds of Prey with Eagle-Owls

Abstract

This article recapitulates the connection between the prohibition of hunting with an eagle-owl as a method of hunting and the development of environmental concerns in the community of Czech and Moravian hunters and ornithologists. It simultaneously identifies the conditions for the return of a number of protected bird species to the Central European nature.
