Oral food challenges (OFC) with food or food aditives enables a closer specification of any adverse allergic reaction to respective foods/aditives. Their performance should be managed by allergologists/clinical immunologists and ought to become a routine part of food allergy diagnostics in an allergology outpatient setting.
This manuscript aims to become a clue for an introduction of food challenge tests into a broad clinical practice in the Czech republic in agreement with european and american expert recommendations. It provides practical informations on indication, performance and evaluation of food challenge tests including actual protocols for individual food challenges.
